Materials & Heritage
Every material at Le Couvent tells a story. From hand-forged ironwork crafted by master artisans to fine linens woven according to century-old traditions, we celebrate the craftsmanship that forms the heart of our house.

Linvosges Linens
Sheets and towels are crafted by Linvosges, the prestigious French linen manufacturer founded in 1820. Made from pure linen and Egyptian cotton, each piece is woven with precision and hand-finished. This noble fabric embraces the skin with delicate refinement, offering a sense of understated luxury and proven durability passed down through generations.

Wrought Ironwork
The wrought ironwork at Le Couvent embodies centuries of artisanal mastery. Each staircase railing, door, and fixture is hand-forged by a master craftsman who learned ancestral techniques from Italian masters and perpetuates a tradition of five generations. The iron is meticulously worked in the workshop—hammered, shaped, and finished with personal attention to every detail: hand-applied brass leaf gilding, evolving patinas, invisible joins. This is craftsmanship that favors quality over quantity, where each piece is bespoke rather than mass-produced. The result is timeless elegance: iron that ages gracefully, telling the story of skilled hands and centuries of heritage with every curve and shadow.

Provence Hardwood
Solid oak and walnut hardwood floors are laid by hand using time-honored Provençal craftsmanship. Each plank reveals the unique characteristics of natural wood, creating a living surface that gracefully patinas over time. This noble material brings warmth and authenticity to the intimate spaces of the Couvent.
